Living in the Bay Area

What are some iconic experiences of living in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Kitesailing at Chrissy Field, dining at Chez Panisse, shopping at the Marin Farmers Market, working at the Transamerica building, shopping in Union Square and using the 5th floor powder room  at I. Magnin– now in the Macys!, watching a Giants game in the sun at AT&T Park, climbing the Lyon Street steps and looking out at the bay (pic) from a vista equivalent to box seats at the Opera, grocery shopping at Cal Mart and Bryans in Laurel Village, Dim Sum at Tong Kiang, Noodles at Mifune, walking to the beach in Tennessee Valley, taking the ferry to Angel Island and having a picnic from yummies you bought at BiRite market, breakfast at Copenhagen bakery, shopping at Draegers or a visit to Filoli gardens.

I have lived in San Francisco most of my life and I am still struck by how spectacularly beautiful it is here. We may not have the history of Europe, the high fashion, art and culture of New York or the warm sunny weather of LA, but stand at the top of Scott and Pacific, El Camino Del Mar at the Legion of Honor, the Warming Hut at Chrissy field or out at the City driving South on the Golden Gate Bridge or the Bay Bridge and I am pretty sure you will agree,  from any one of these perspectives we have got them beat!
